Halloween is the best holiday ever. It’s the only holiday you get to really enjoy without being forced to spend time with family, here’s looking at you Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If Halloween didn’t exist, I would be all about this, but thankfully, the best of all possible holidays is just a month away, and I don’t have time for this Yuletide nonsense when I don’t even have my costume put together yet.

I’m not totally averse to Christmas stuff going up on November 1st, but it just seems wrong to have two of the biggie holidays still in the future (with the first still being over a month away) and to start with the Christmas stuff.

Christmas seems to be declaring war on us.

Sounds like everything everyone already knows about her, though I suppose she had to get something out there now, as her first movie as star (yes she’s done a few, but starring vehicle) was pushed back from this week to NEXT MAY.

Nobody has mentioned it yet, but i loved the small detail of the people in the background in the parking lot when Sam goes into her rant, and the one lady softly clapping at the end.

“We’re not a thing. But that’s so cool, is that your wedding ring?”

really stunning cinematography in this episode, esp those family beach shots right at the end.

Pamela Adlon is a national treasure. Her and Walton Goggins.

Everything those two touch is great. I’m also partial to the soundtrack they did for Noah Baumbach’s “Mistress America.” It’s very different, more ‘80s synthpop-y (they even included an OMD track), but it seemed perfectly in their wheelhouse.
