I guess choke isn't exactly accurate w/r/t 1998 and Kwan. She actually skated very well then, and cleanly, you are correct - but Lipinski was pretty damn near perfect as you can be, and clean was not enough. Kwan just wasn't 100% there that night, and she needed to be. She just wasn't possessed of that killer instinct.
