I live in Austin. Which votes blue. But the grid is fucked here. More so than even some other spots like San Antonio and Houston. The police outright do not respond. The non emergency number for city services does nothing. Animal control, road issues etc. Also, it is crazy expensive to live.

Aside from the fact not everyone can afford to stay at home and homeschool their kid or hire someone to do it, I can confirm as a college administrator homeschooled kids are the WEIRDEST and don’t adjust great to college life.
