I admire noble automotive efforts. I thought the idea of recycling the SLK platform for a Chrysler cruiser was a cool idea, and I quite liked the retro styling cues.

In my view, the Crossfire is up there with the Jaguar F-Type and various Aston Martins for the title of “best looking car of the 21st Century.”

Ab-so-lutely not. Sooner or later you’ll need that SKREEM module and you can’t get it. And if you get it you’ll have a hard time getting it programmed even at a big Mopar dealer for reasons someone else here has gone into. And you have to replace the PCM with it. Which you also can’t get. Not to mention the keys for…

I don’t have personal, first hand experience, but know a couple of people that have them.

My kid is 12, but if something like this showed up in 4 or 5 years I’d get it for him for sure. Just weird enough to be interesting, with a manual so his idiot friends won’t be able to drive it. Plus, I wouldn’t mind stealing it sometimes. NP.

I always thought these were slightly under-developed, and a bit under-appreciated.

FWIW I’m just over 6', driver’s seat all the way back and angled so it doesnt rub and passenger seat up one notch. Have definitely noticed the seat rub in both cars, then I repositioned the seats and lived happily ever after.

Manual, decent power, relatively entertaining, inexpensive, and this generation SLK was reliable without the folding roof.

More like misfire. 

Love em or hate em (I am on the fence) a nice little sporty coupe with decent power, RWD and row your own for $5k easy nice price.  

This car looks like a caricature of what an American sports coupe should look like drawn by the same German dude that designed the caricature that is the modern Mini (ah ja ve put ze british flag in ze taillighten). That being said, it’s quirky and is miles better and cheaper to maintain than any Euro/Japanese import…

These caught a lot of undeserved flack in my opinion. A cousin of mine has one with the 6 speed, and it’s a fun car that’s different from all the other cookie cutter stuff out there.

Pity it’s not closer (or maybe a good thing as the garage is stuffed to capacity). I always liked their quirky looks and the performance isn’t bad. At this price, this condition, hell yeah it’s a Nice Price!
