Thank you, Thomas N! i was interested in hearing what the Jalopnik commentariat had to say about those cars. Most seem to be non-supportive, but car culture was never known to be non-judgmental.

I think so too. It’s going to be in the fleet for a long time. Such a cool design.

I couldn’t believe he offered that much money for it either! Such a weird dude. You guys think I’m odd for liking these cheap broken cars, well that dude was all about Cavaliers - just Cavaliers and $2550 Cavaliers.

“Nice” is subjective, my man.

Why thank you, facw. This is the most balanced and thoughtful (meaning: full-of-thought) post here yet.

The Stratus is a 2.4, the Gen 1 Sebring is a 2.5, the Jag is a 4.2, the Cavalier is a 2.2.

For the win!

The rest of the collection isn’t depressing to everyone, but thanks for the above. My mama didn’t raise no quitter.

Why thank you, Citric.

How’d he do that? By fixing up cheap old cars?

I’ve heard stories about the late 90s Chrysler 2.7L oil sludge issue where finance companies wouldn’t approve any car with that engine for a couple years.

Made and painted in a Mitsu factory in Japan. No Chrysler paint here.

This is the 3.0, not a 2.7. -Stealth ES owner

David, the real Jalopnik hero story has been sitting in front of you this whole time: a junkyard OEM restoration of the KIA.

Raph, nothing on that LeBaron PPG Car?! That thing is the real story here!

The Chrysler 2.7 V6. Legendary for all the wrong reasons.

“Bimmer Today” should be renamed “Bummer Today”.

This is the best, most accurate and informative post here.

I’m on my 3rd and they are not inexpensive.
