Big Challenger fan here. Big Viper fan too....but those are Dodges.
One of the 4 right here. I’ve owned multiple Gen 1, 2 and 3 Sebrings and currently have both a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 in Limited trim, triple blue. Very rare.
Count me in as one of the 4. I’ve had multiple Gen 1, 2 and Gen 3 Sebrings and I currently have an ‘01 Limited in triple blue alongside a beautiful JXi Gen 1.
Dodge Stratus coupes for the win, David. I’ve had 2 and they’re amazing. You can get them for dirt cheap, parts are cheap, they’re decently fun to drive, there are at least 5 in every parts yard in America, they are easy to wrench on and they look pretty rad.
Can you qualify your claim that the Compass is a “...terrible vehicle”? Or is this just your personal opinion?
Keep on keepin’ on David - you’ve got some solid fans out here in coastal NC!
I’m calling BS on a 1,200 mile van having 7 broken seats.
You can take Jennifer to the lake in that thing!
That Dodge looks great!
I’ll second that suggestion regarding the Bund.
Cape Fear in the house.
The “us vs them’ mentality isn’t inclusive, nor what this site is about. I agree that Rawlings sucks, but Aaron Kaufman can out-wrench most and has the knowledge and appreciation of the craft to back it up.
David, please have your next article be about the towing abilities of cars such as the above-mentioned Eldorado. Perhaps a “I can’t believe that car X can tow that much!” -type of feature. Love your work.
Zero stars for this one so far. Isn’t this site about appreciating all of autodom?
I think so as well.
Jalopnik: Where A Sonata is considered sexy and this isn’t.
I’d agree with the comments on the infotainment systems and engines. Both the 3.6 and 5.7 are time-tested at this point.
The Sebring Coupe came out in ‘95, after the Lebaron was retired (the Lebaron Coupe ended in ‘93). I had one and loved it. Like your moves, Long-Voyager.
What about the tens of cars with less-than-stellar dependability ratings that are celebrated on this site? Why is a 15 yr old Audi A6 ok, but a 15 yr old Sebring isn’t? I’ll bet you find more 200K mile Sebrings than you ever will A6s.
