Except that studies have shown multivitamins are a total waste of money. As I understand it, your body just doesn't absorb the nutrients unless they're in the food you're eating - so yes, you're peeing them out. The nutrients go straight from your mouth to your pee/poop. In Monopoly terms, they do not pass go.

Multivitamins are largely useless because the body cannot absorb those quantities of so many different compounds simultaneously, so you benefit less than if you took the supplements separately.
