Mostly agree. But I think that fatigue is a real thing. Casual fans who watch the show might ask them selves “how many iterations of Superman punching monsters do I need to see” and opt to not go see the movie. Maybe its a wash with fans they retain by having the IP in multiple places?

I always thought the weapons in their time would be far more powerful than being hit with a rock. I get the whole F=ma but I would think a Photon Torpedo would have way more than a rock lol.

At least that show was advertised as “Clark before he was Superman.” Ya got what you came for, even if the finale was a bust (and it largely was.)

That would be great. I think the news of that solidified well into filming. So unlikely they had room for it in the script.

A very interesting perspective. I’d add however that the agency and life of Tuvok and Neelix needs to be considered. Given they were able to be restored, you cannot consider them dead and the Captain can and should act as a proxy for their wellbeing.

I kind of love this theory. One hole would be our Spock recognized him right away as James Kirk, implying that Pine is exactly what a young Kirk looked like. But I’m willing to overlook that b/c Spock was so old maybe he just got mixed up lol.

Continuity matters unfortunately. I’m not suggesting every detail needs to be strictly held up, but things like his backstory, who he has met, his outlook on his role as a street level hero, etc. Thats all important to knowing him.

I would be happy to see Paramount+’s content merged into Max. One less service for me to pay for. I’ve been enjoying all the Discovery content on Max. Keep it coming.

Its ok to condemn his horrible actions and also acknowledge he is a very talented actor. It’s been reported that his portrayal of Kang was so good, Marvel changed their plans to make him the ‘new Thanos.”

Man these guys got my number .....

Baylan Skoll is the most interesting part of this show by a mile. Prove me wrong.

I am worried about the impact to our ability to interact with each other if WFH goes on forever. There may not be enough data to prove anything yet, but you can see the cracks starting to show as people are no longer forced to learn to work with people, including those they don’t like. WFH allows for so much willful

Ok i’m not going crazy lol. Came here to ask wtf i09 keeps saying its the first Gunn movie.

Janeway and the Voyager crew are excellent. People might forget when it was on the air, the show was in a constant state of getting canceled. At one point it was shipped off to UPN or something to go die.

They want to take Earth for themselves. Weaken all the governments so that taking the planet is easier when the powers have annihilated each other.

Is this a prequel to the G1 animated film from the 80's or to the stupid Bay movies?

My guess is the Changelings want to invade earth and the only being ever to get close, was Locutus. They need Jack, a living dna specimen to sifi-science Locutus back to life, or mack Jack Locutus 2. And have him lead an invasion into the federation.

I’m surprised no one is talking about what was actually stolen from the Daystrom Institute if the portal weapon was misdirection. Lore... and probably also Moriarty. Its a clever way to introduce them into the show and I am curious why changelings would be after those 2.
I guess those 2 could have been other weapons

I know its sketchy territory, but I always wished they found a way to have Paul Walker’s brothers carry on his legacy here. Whether its being Brian’s actual brother or playing the character of Brian. He is so missed from this franchise.
