Tilda Swinton wasn’t picked because she’s white, she was picked because she’s fucking freaky looking. She’s weird and angular and androgynous and looks vaguely inhuman. That’s why they cast her as a quasi-human “ancient one.”

In other words, while social justice warriors are crying about this movie, an entire sixth of the world’s population is satiated. Seems like a decent trade-off.
