This and the Sting song "The Russians" has to be the best 80's anti nuke entertainment.

Is it safe to say that in the end, Boyd couldn't live up to his own legend? Wouldn't kids have been far more likely to sing The Ballad of Boyd Crowder if he had in fact been righteously gunned down by Marshal Givens, the man he dug coal with?

When Winston Churchill was a boy, he met Prime Minister Gladstone, who told him about the bonfires they had lit to celebrate Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo. When you consider that Churchill lived to see man orbit the Earth, that is really incredible.

According to the US census the number of US vets of WW2 decreased to less than a million this year.

Phil Hartman's Sinatra should be broadcast to Aliens as proof our species is fit to survive.

Blasphemy. At worst its one of the top five greatest westerns ever. Ah well different strokes and all that.

I seem to remember a lot of snow in Jeremiah Johnson. Its really more of a early frontier movie than a Western. Also maybe The Man from Snowy River?

OK! OK ! I will put the Shane DVD in and watch it again.

Each Judicial District in the country has a Marshal's office. The Marshal is the head man, the boss, but he is also a Presidential appointee, and thus is subject to the whims of politics. The Chief Deputy is the guy actually running the day to day operations, and is a career Deputy. (Although many Chief's get

I cannot remember who made this point, but it is valid: In High Noon, Cooper's character couldn't get help but didn't need it; While Wayne's character in Rio Bravo didn't want help, but needed it and got it.

Basinger is great. When she is trying to talk Bud out of his murderous rage….Such a fine movie. All five leads should have won somehow.

WHY does the movie look so crappy? Everytime ive seen it was like a print that had been laying in a dank basement.

There has been such a reaction against true sincerity that we need a counter revolution. We need to restore balance. How can you be ironic and condescending if you never experienced anything that wasnt?

Miracle on 34th street is remembered fondly because it is well made with great performances, wit and heart. Have some respect.

Master and Commander is so great though I am glad they never went back to the well. I think its the most underrated movie of the new century.

You guys should have had a talkback about Playing for the Mob. It was good, even if it had too many Goodfellas clips. Too bad they couldn't get an interview with Kuhn.
