I’m old enough to remember a week ago when the right tried to blame gun violence on video games and the left pushed back.

Yeah and he’s 110% right. This is a weird narrative that is being pushed by people like Sam Barsanti so they can pump out a few more articles with the word “incel” in the headline and wonder about how damaging this movie is going to be while pointing out how dangerous white people are.
I gave up on this guy’s reviews last season when he complained that the show wasn’t telling him how to feel...if I wanted someone to tell me how to feel, I’d quit watching television and join a cult.
Spoken like a Democrat or Republican.
C+? Why are you reviewing South Park if a really good episode like this gets a C+? This was the best premiere in years. The episode didn’t make a coherent point because they’re just setting up the plots. You don’t complain a film isn’t a complete package 15 minutes in, do you?
Don’t shame “snitching”. Exposing criminals is in the interest of society as a whole, and we want more people to come forward, not less. Yes, we’re talking about a garbage person, but the information he provides is valuable. And there is nothing valuable, or even moral, in remaining loyal to a criminal gang. So, don't…
Yes, but in the fine tradition of Baltimore quarterbacks, let's spend the next decade arguing about whether or not Lamar Jackson is elite.
I’m shocked. Shocked that you guys haven’t posted anything about the doctor suing him for farting in his face and not paying his bill. That’s classic Deadspin content!
That Love bullshit ruined the entire movie for m e.
For the “sport” of it all. Why watch this show at all if not to hate-watch these gawd awful people and laugh at the excess and pathetic world of theirs. It’s certainly not a world I will ever see. Might as well pick at least SOMEBODY you want to lead this awful horde.
Oh, no. Please don’t get me wrong. My critique comes from a place of expecting better of her because the boys are so God awful. Complaining about their toxic .... everything and what have you goes without saying. That’s why I really don’t want her to become even worse or even get sucked into the family business. But…
Her image as a lesser-evil Roy is an illusion supported by her having been outside the family business thus far, which allows her to effect a more critical stance without endangering her wealth and comfort. Now that she’s joined up, we may expect that illusion to fall away quickly.
Maybe it’s spillover hate from Murdoch & the Trumps.
I feel like 3-4 weeks ago I was “team Shiv,” and she sucks so badly now with her entitled bullshit I’ve been properly smacked in the face and reminded of how badly ALL OF THEM SUCK AND THIS IS TERRIBLE AND A COMEDY. Please, almightly God... tell me this how is a comedy.
These young football players just don’t want to live enough!
Of course, unlike The Simpsons, South Park is still good.
Gonna set the room on fire with this flaming hot take: I’m looking forward to seeing this movie because it looks good and interesting and I like good and interesting movies. The actors seem like they put in good performances, and I like all those actors based upon their previous work. I bet it looks good, and probably…
Tom is terrible, but he genuinely cares about his wife in a way that makes her cold indifference to him hard to watch. Not that he’s necessarily entitled to anything better, given that he clearly views the marriage (in part) as an arrangement designed to give him access to money and power. But it’s tough to see a…
Yeah, all the Roys are awful people, just in their own ways. It was easier to see Shiv as separate from, and “better than” her brothers, but expecting anyone in that family to be good is a stretch. Even Greg the Egg showed he has a lot of self-interest, cunning and ruthlessness when he needs it.
Still, just like with…
This is absolutely spot on. I love Shiv but I’m genuinely baffled by certain fans of this show who insist she’s somehow “better” than her family when the reason Shiv is interesting is because she THINKS she’s better when in reality she’s clearly cut from the same cloth.
