I think this thread shows you’re wrong that no one cares what he says—then you sink to name calling. Trump is dangerous—he’s ginning up hatred that won’t end when he loses the election—won’t end for a long time. Not to mention how he’s damaging the US reputation across the world. So, yeah, quite a lot of people care

I like it!

I need a job—can I come and work for you? You sound like a wise leader of your organization.

It also didn’t help that he picked the particular candidate he did. Who would care as much of he endorsed a “normal” candidate? But he chose the most controversial one in decades.

Psychologists and sociologists will be studying this campaign for years, asking that exact question. I think some of it has to do with celebrity—they liked his reality-show character. And they feel like they know him. He also seems to have some sort of charisma that attracts people, in spite of his boasting and

This thread is about Trump, the exact opposite of Barack Obama. How did the President’s name get dragged into this?

It’s pretty difficult to take T’s comments “out of context” when they show whole events beginning to end. A lot of the difficulty, I think, is that people hear what they want to hear. And of course the bandwagon mentality is in full effect.

I voted for Obama twice, and I resent that wisecrack.

Not just the ignorant masses, I’m afraid. The press can’t take their eyes off him. What happened to saying, this is a summary of what the candidate said—his actual words were to offensive to repeat here.

Ha, ha, ha!

I’d say that’s generally true, but the ones most alarming to me are the better educated ones who find some reason to believe. I hope that, somewhere along the way, they’ll see the truth—all of them.

Being politically correct isn’t always a bad thing. I call myself an enlightened racist, because at times I do have racist feelings and thoughts—but when I recognize them I reject them, because I know they aren’t true or right. Politically correct language sometimes makes me pay attention to the difference between

The butcher of Benghazi?? A 9-hour interrogation that found nothing—that isn’t enough for you? Not to mention MONTHS of previous investigation—which also found nothing! What would it take? There is nothing that would convince you, clearly, because you worship at the feet most Rs do, Ru$h Limbuck$, who so craftily

Haven’t you heard Trump say he wants to register Muslims—even American citizens born here—as well as keep out Muslim immigrants? Sounds a little like the modern version of the yellow star, doesn’t it?

Silver lining?? You don’t think his words are powerful? Look at the violence at his rallies—making the news now but nothing new. I can’t see a silver lining to the presence of this awful person in our politics! He’s so extreme he’s making Ted Cruz look like the better alternative!

How are you an Independent if you will “never” vote for anyone on the left? Doesn’t that make you a Republican, even without a formal party affiliation? Not being snotty, just asking how you see it.

I can’t speak for Democrats, but as a left-leaning independent, I don’t want Trump to be the candidate—I don’t want him in the race at all. The hatred he’s ginning up will be with us long after he’s dead and gone. He’s damaging our nation here at home and our reputation abroad.

Well said!

You notice he doesn’t accord Mr Sanders or Mrs Clinton the same respect. Hmmm.

He brought the “smear” on himself, out of ignorance, adoration for his old man, whatever. He wanted public attention and he got more than he bargained for—he hasn’t changed but he found out the sport has.
