@catxflash: I dunno, to push boundaries? To innovate with gaming tech? Because the could? It was a bet? They knew everyone and their mothers would still end up buying one anyway? To make an absolute shit-ton of money?

Can I just say how bummed out I was when the official DS was officially announced.

No mention of Metroid Fusion or TLoZ: Minish Cap. Where's the love Kotaku?

@SkipErnst: The 4x4x4 Rubik's uses a sphere as the central structure of the thing, and it has a load of tracks running over it for the cubes to slide through. I imagine it would be something like that, but on a huge and ridiculous (read stupid) scale.

@cjoricj: You're gonna be so sorry you made that joke if you turn out to be right.

So I can only see Sony shooting themselves in the foot here.

@Souffrir: I'd like to see a comparison to the original Game Boy.

I made a joke in another thread that this would cost as much as someone's crappy first car.

@B00: Whoa there, don't ya think you're being a tad optimistic?

Yes. I would gladly pay $250 for the 3DS. In a heartbeat. As it stands, however, because I was born and still live in England, if I want to buy a new system on launch day I would have to pay at least $100 more than that. Screw that, I want it as cheap as you guys are having it.

And I'll bet it starts at the low, low price of [what your first car cost]

@CarrerCrytharis: They're go-faster racing-stripes.... you know... for more go-faster/speed

Okay, I get that this is a comic, and trying to illustrate a point for the joke... but it makes absolutely no point whatsoever to have three separate blades. The first blade would take all three heads, thus making the second and third completely unnecessary.

"and those sonic booms were never appreciated by anyone within earshot"

@Wallopy Joe: My bad, the issue isn't insurance, but the need to actually get a tank license to use it on the roads.

@cmdrfire: On those grounds, do you suppose we could get rid of the g-wiz? I think this may be bigger... by a fair margine actually.
