Holy shit, this hit me like a ton of bricks. One of my fondest memories as a kid was meeting Dave Mirra at the X Games in San Diego in 1995. I remember thinking he was the kindest guy in the world. I was struck by how nice of a celebrity he was because at the time he held basically the same status as Michael Jordan in

I played hockey, and I had 4 concussions, that I know of, from it. I’ve taken hits to the head, got knocked silly, gotten off the ice on my own power, and stayed in the game, only to have no recollection of it whatsoever. While I’m not saying Wideman didn’t check the ref intentionally, I’m saying it’s entirely

bullshit. CARB and EPA have simply said that starting in 2008 diesel engines need to meet the same standards as gas engines. They no longer get a free pass. And since at least two manufacturers have been more extensively tested and found to pass, the requirements aren’t “unrealistic.”

Yes, it’s definitely the regulator’s fault that VW had to cheat. Thanks, Obama, you nazi commie kenyan muslim. Benghazi.

Here’s a piece on it I doubt you’ll read, as you’ll likely continue your confirmation bias. Direct individual deaths? Maybe not, but shortened lives and lower quality of life assuredly. Justify however you please.

Marachino has lost his mind. Does he know nothing of Chrysler’s history...and why the needed the bailout back in ‘09? The bet on gas before, and LOST. Gas was gettin' real expensive, and the big heavy V8s Chrysler produced were sitting on the lots. Chrysler had no viable small car to sell except the shit Caliber, and

Nailed it... this would be such a fun car..... for 8 or 9 k maybe...

13.5!... 13.5? Hell no! I’ll give the seller his due: Nice car, nice mods, but 13.5! Come on man, I know you really don’t expect 13.5, but if your going to start negotiating at an unreasonable high number, I’m going to start with an unreasonably low number: How about you pay me 3500 to take it off your hands? Pissed

No, that’s phenomenal.

This idea has been disproven time and time again. What you’re saying is totally anecdotal and has no “facts” behind it.

The C4 ZR-1.

They made 10 million of these things. They are not going to be collectable for decades.

Lolololol no non rally Audi ever has been or ever will be an appreciating classic. Let alone this POS.

Obvious answer is obvious. These things in good condition are already starting to appreciate, and it’s only going to become more pronounced as nice stock examples fall victim to crashes and track builds.

On paper it comes across as decent, on screen the angles/proportions are right and the right photo filters can glam it up, in person it’s very underwhelming.

When it comes to vehicle regulation and holding the manufacturer’s feet to the fire, California is the main reason we’re not all still driving around with 150 HP V8s.

Quick question. Are people actually mad about the diesel regulation problems? I don’t care much.

Interesting since we’re also the world’s 7th largest overall economy and make more of the country’s money than pretty much the rest of the 49 states combined. I know because around 30% of my taxes go bye-bye and probably to other “less troublesome” states.

What about the giant loss in resale value?

I may be wrong here, but isn’t urea injection a catalytic process used to achieve the pollution reduction/conversion in to ammonia and nitrogen gas? So when they say “a new catalytic converter” couldn’t they (and aren’t the most likely) referring to a urea injection system?
