It’s too bad there won’t be any brown diesel wagons for the Jalops to pick up.

$300 coilovers tell me everything I need to know about the quality of craftsmanship that was put into this car. Sure it’s got an M50TU and getrag... but I seriously doubt this is a “clean swap”. Even if you’re into the whole #stancenation there are better quality coilovers for a little bit more coin.
I was the original poster Tom quoted. We’ve had the car 6 months and put 15,000 miles on it. That’s the main reason we went with it over an Audi A4, depreciation would eat me alive. The Camry is equipped with horrible tires from the factory, but they do squeal anytime you do anything remotely aggressive. Needless to…
Wow my post made it, I’ve been away for holidays but if anyone is interested in my resume:
How about the same exact car, for $5500. His Swedespeed advertisement actually lists the car for $5000
This is precisely why I (an enthusiast) bought a ‘15 Camry. The internet can hate but we drove a Mazda6, Honda Accord, HR-V, Fit, and Nissan Altima. The Toyota was the cheapest (SE model) and by a good margin. The “no haggle” Mazda dealer wanted $25,500 for a similarly equipped Mazda6. We bought the Toyota for…
Have you tried the Costco program? It’s terrible. It’s no better than Truecar. I submitted a request including the exact trim level I was interested in, and by the end of the day I had 8 voicemails from the same dealership asking me to come in to discuss options/trims/pricing.
God Damnit, I only have 1 star to give you. You’re 100% correct.
Cummins banked emissions credits from their HD market and used them to delay the introduction of SCR into the light duty and medium duty.
Here’s an article on the crash
The D13 and D16 were originally Volvo engines (MP8 and MP10 for Mack). The D11 (MP7) is actually originally a Renault engine. Renault bought Mack before Volvo came in and bought Renault (acquiring Mack). I’ll have to ask our engineers about the “rougher” shifts. I’ve never heard this before.
Nothing will change at Volkswagen see this quote:
Notable standard features over Base: 380 horsepower 3.0-liter supercharged
V8V6
Exactly. With 9 damn gears this thing should always be able to put you into the powerband whenever. We have a 2015 Camry 4 cylinder for our family car. Same damn power/torque figures into a 6 speed auto. I have never felt like I couldn’t get out of my own way.
I learned to drive on a ‘93 Volvo 240 with ~100 hp through…
VS the domestic rivals (Malibu or Fusion) the 200 might seem competitive. But when you’re reminded of the Legacy, Mazda6, Sonata, Accord and Camry.... the 200 looks pretty cheap.
With the rise of autonomous cars in the future, do you think car designs will become more uniform (pod shaped/utilitarian) or more distinguished? How will brands distinguish themselves in the future if vehicles adopt a more uniform shape/size?
As an NA/NB lover, I didn’t like the MazdaSpeed NB, the low end torque just doesn’t feel “miata”. I doubt I will like this either. I really enjoyed revving the pants off of my NB. Honda and Mazda need to team up, Honda supplies a K20 and Mazda supplies the chassis.
Sulfur isn’t even the only worry. I spent some time in Japan and their cetane # was near 50% better than ours in the US.
Your definition of “clean” is much different from mine...
At first I too was pissed, if you click the linked article. The Republican’s aren’t cutting spending back from 2014 or 2015 levels, they are simply cutting back the proposed increase. The proposed cuts would basically keep the same 2014/2015 levels for 2016. Not good, but not as bad as the author makes it sound.
