For the last fucking time people, as poorly-chosen as the Arkham City example is it is at the end of the day NOT FUCKING RELEVANT and NOT IMPORTANT.

Very well. What you've failed to clarify is how if removed thee argument falls apart. You've taken apart one example. Congratulations. Now how is it relevant?
That's what I fail to understand about how both Halo and Call of Duty can be considered professional when you have a randomized spawning system. As for street fighter specifically I can tell you that damage values are incredibly fixed in that game, down to the point where people have been tailoring combos to kill…
It's still a derail because you're focusing in on one largely irrelevant point that even if removed would not undermine the veracity of his argument in any which way whatsoever.
I typically play games where the objective is to be as much of a dick as is humanly possible to your opponent since that is the underlying current of competition anyways.
When will people just own up to the fact that competetive anything is just a festering ground for unfair play and people are simply not interested in the well being of others.
I mean, don't get me wrong. It's really good at trolling scrubs but in proper play there are just so few circumstances where it isn't outclassed by the default scattergun. That thing is just too good.
It's a four button layout with two assists easily mappable to the shoulder triggers so it's much more easily played on gamepad than most fighters out there.
And that I think is the fundamental gulf that divides Battlefield and Cod players. Myself, I fucking hate working with other people so the entire MO of Battlefield is just completely anathema to me because honestly, I hate relying on teammates ever.
A quick update on Sentinel:
Haha, yeah. The execution barrier for Mvc3 is lower than most. ABC, S, BBC S super works for most characters.
What constitutes your definition of a poor fighting game mechanics, if I may ask? Is it combos?
She-hulk is dead. It's sad
The Japanese don't like DLC. It's shit, but it's how it is.
Deadpool got a huge buff. He can now cancel any of his specials into teleport which means that you can launch them full screen into a wallbounce and then teleport right next to them.
Well good on you for knowing your genre and going for game mechanics.
Play Skullgirls. It's awesome.
That's a really bad example of balance seeing as how ono chalked up to purposefully trying to unbalance the twins.
It's actually more along the veins of MvC2 which means it is going to be rather steep as far as a learning curve goes but on the plus side you can play as a single character versus 3 so you can literally just learn one character at a time.
They increased his movement speed though.
