Good call imo. I had a similar experience. We kept speeches confined to the rehearsal dinner, and had none at the actual reception. We were ruthless about no kids, no phones during the ceremony, no exceptions. We don’t regret it.

Lots of good advice here, but I can’t disagree with the photography advice more. Definitely ban pics during your ceremony at least unless you want your guests hidden behind their phones and pics of your day on Instagram before the ceremony is even finished. And your friends definitely, one hundred percent absolutely…

Selfishly, the thing I hate most about eliminating straw use being the trend of the day is that when I say I don’t need one or hand one back people think I’m on this bandwagon. I don’t use straws because I hate them and have for as long as I can remember. It’s silly, I realize. 

Basically you’ve just said consumers are confused by labeling when you originally said consumers aren’t confused by labeling. Or are you saying consumers aren’t confused when it’s labeled “milk” but they would be if it was labeled “drink” specifically? Neither scenario makes sense.

If Americans truly aren’t confused by the labeling, why would this have an effect on profits either way?

What about target funds? After match, generally the only thing I care about is that there’s a target fund for around my retirement date, which is supposed to be a fund that balances risk based on how close you are to retirement, right?
