Goddammit. I should have waited like 2 months to get my gti.

Yeah! My dogs love ferret shit. Dogs are gross, but so damn love able!
Serious question. Why do some dogs seem immune to all the bad shit. For instance, both of my dogs have, on more than one occasion, ingested A LOT of chocolate, in the form of cupcakes and holloween candy, and suffered no ill effects. One pork bone though... Boom, pancreatitis. What gives?
The Smokies are on the list, but I’ll add that, specifically, Mount Mitchell is a great place to get a panoramic view of everything, and there’s a trail starting at the top (Deep Gap Trail) that will take you to some great spots if you can handle the hike.
Umm, how do they suggest you lay on the floor in the middle of free fall? Good luck with that.

*sigh* goddammit.
It’s funny what services people feel okay about asking for for free. Plumbing? Never happens. Programming or IT support? All the time. My GF is a singer, and everybody always wants her to sing for free at some event or another.
Mine are usually along the lines of explaining why it’s going to cost many thousands of dollars of someone’s time to accomplish this “simple app”. Or explaining why I won't do it for 10% of their non-existent business instead of, you know, cash.
Ugh, I've had to have this conversation with friends and family so much lately. Yes I could write your app, but no it's not as simple or cheap as you think.
In a one minute video he trimmed three cards. By thinking really really hard and using my super fancy math skills I've been able to determine it would take less than 18 minutes to trim a deck of cards.
If making this particular request somehow nebulously “reflects badly” on me, then my opinion is still that it’s not a place I want to work. It’s not like I’m asking for something batshit insane. I can’t imagine a scenario in which people would get indignant enough about that request to not hire an otherwise good…
Play the rest of the scenario out. Either they check with HR and it’s fine, or they do and it isn’t.
I don't feel the need to be closed about my salary personally, but I've found that even though I don't care if others know what I make, I have to be careful who I share that with to avoid judgment. I do pretty well, but I have gotten comments in the past when declining to do something with or for someone along the…
Well, I don’t agree.
I think this is one of those things likely to vary from profession to profession, and is easier if you're in a market with a higher demand for talent than openings. I’m a developer, and I have done this before and will do it again. My last two roles as a software developer, after getting through technical screening…
I loved my 2004 SRT-4. YMMV.
One for me to drive...
I personally know more than a couple people who have had trouble with knockoffs of the thermapen like this one. It will work great for a month then suck at getting accurate readings.

I’ve heard several of these, and always heard chocolate was incredibly bad for dogs. At this point though, my dogs have consumed tons of halloween/christmas candy, and at one point half a dozen chocolate cupcakes. Obviously I didn’t know they were doing it at the time, but they suffered no ill effects from it. I’m not…
