Excellent analysis and I fully agree; it would seem that the next one in this series, then, would equate to the original Heston movie, with the astronauts lost in RISE returning to a very different planet than the one they left.

Not to mention Sterling Archer's (former) employer/mother's company.

I don't know if this has been addressed already but I call BS on Franklin dissolving someone in a bathtub. As any faithful watcher of Breaking Bad can tell you, hydrofluoric acid will dissolve the bathtub, and the subfloor underneath it, as well as the body. Yeah, science, bitch!

I re-watched this last night after several years, and I too felt a diminished appreciation for it. I think part of it is that when it came out the whole dystopian zombie genre was still fairly new (outside of George Romero's work), but with The Walking Dead and World War Z since the release of this we have become

Sorry I meant Sam and Rebecca.

Mulholland Drive reference - two points.

I too was thinking, is this like when Sam and Diane finally hooked up in Cheers, or when David and Maddie did so in Moonlighting? Those events were their respective shows' "jump the shark" moments and I hope we are not now on the downside of Louie's (the show's) greatness.

I so wanted Stephen Root to be the same dentist Louie goes to. If he was, he would have deserved his fate.

By design, I hope, this season of TURN has given me a new appreciation for many things we take for granted today: freedom of assembly, the right to bear arms, the right to not have soldiers quartered in one's home, and freedom from cruel and unusual punishment, to name just a few.

Factual error (possibly intentional by the character): minimum wage in 1983 was $3.35, not $3.25.

I'm half expecting the last line in the series to be Gus with his hand on Molly's bulging belly saying, "Two more months."

David Cow-pperfield and, of course, State Fair!

I kept wanting to yell at the screen, "iPads have translation apps!"

In the flashback Pearl told him if anyone could shoot themselves with an unloaded gun it would be Lester, so you could imagine that she had been saying stuff like that to him for quite a while.

FWIW, the Fargo page on IMDB lists Allison Tolman for 10 episodes of the series.
