We do this every time (at least, the last few times): Swift releases single, people say “ugh it’s the wooooooorst”, it proceeds to rocket through the charts as if it were actually an Ok piece with fans that like it. Not high art, but good pop- with strong production. And so it goes.

Yeah the sped-up travel has been going on for years (see Cat’s one-episode journey from Winterfell to KL); it’s more that it’s missing the dialogue scenes that gave us more. And even last season wasn’t feeling as fast-forward to me...this time round has been break-neck.

I’ll admit, there have been a couple of compelling episode rewrites on r/gameofthrones, with simple changes making a better flow.

Yeah. I love the show, but they signed on for an adaptation - not to finish the story. They’re showing their weakness, but it’s not really their fault. They thought they’d have 7 books of material by the time they got to s4. I love the show, AND I love Martin, and I wish both could have worked out better.
