I agree with the sentiment but for many years now, at least in the Tri-State area, unwritten rules/ etiquette dictates gift at the shower, cash/check at wedding not to mention expensives of bachelor/ette parties etc. and if you can’t afford it decline the invitation and you should still send a gift!

It is AMAZING what people can do do with makeup. My one gf has like 5 hairs above each of her eyes and after she “fills” i.e. draws on her face - she has full, gorgeous, NATURAL looking brows. Mind blowing.
