ELI5: how is this different from UHaul doing it?
I was debating doing the reverse (getting Ontario plates) to get the EV rebate. Ontario doesn’t seem to require residency to get the rebate, just registration.
Pictured: a non-US spec CDI [diesel] smart, which actually got 60 MPG. Sold in Canada before the US launch and can be had used for about $3000USD now. That's a pretty good bargain, and it's hilariously fun to drive if you use manual mode and shift 2-3 seconds in advance.
It will be a few years late, but I'm holding out for the 2015 Probe.

I'm 6'3” and all torso, my Mk6 GTI is perfect. Beetle has a little more space, but I could probably still wear a top hat. Worst cars: Ranger, almost any sedan and somehow the Hummer H2 (sunroof).
