No reference to hybrids there. Locos aren’t hybrids, they use electric transmission.

Efficiency on all heat engines is driven by compression/pressure ratio. Microturbines are traditionally centrifugal, which have terrible pressure ratios. Even more modern axial flow microturbines are limited in pressure ratio by their ability to cool the turbine. It’s not a fundamental scaling limitation, but one of

Tesla uses a 360hp AC motor that weighs 70lbs.

Yeah, that’s a GOOD thing. Driving manual forces you to at the least, be a more attentive driver

Stop bringing numbers into a subjective, completely unfounded argument.

There’s a whole store just for socks?

Nevermind the logic, I think it’s impressive the sensors were able to positively track the vehicle two ahead.

Does that include the ongoing maintenance of that trillions of dollars worth of hardware? I think you’re underestimating the sheer volume of data you’re talking about capturing and processing.

Doing what you suggest, everywhere, all the time, would require so much hardware and personnel that it would be consuming the majority of the DoD budget.

Just what is Amazon Music Unlimited, because as far as I know, I’ve been using Amazon Music for free for years.

Cell data? Now you’re talking about reprocessing data from private commercial cell towers - data at frequencies they’re specifically designed, in hardware, to filter out, and protocols they can’t process? Or has “USCYBERCOM” secretively managed to embed their own extreme broadband SDR package in every cell tower?

You’re not going to see anything thebsize of a drone from geostationary orbit. You’ll be hard pressed to make out anything but massive warehouses from geostationary orbit. Surveillance satellites orbit at around 200mi, not 22000mi. ELINT systems are more concerned about what the data is, not where it’s coming from.

There’s absolutely nothing stopping someone buying some PVC from the local Home Depot and making a mortar. Those things could go several blocks, and catching the perpetrators of such a mortar attack would be extremely difficult.

Quadcopters are only easy to “fly” because the computer is doing all the stability management for you. If there wasn’t a computer running it, you would struggle getting it off the ground without flipping it. There are plenty of self-leveling trainer aircraft that are extremely easy to fly. If you’re building your

Is car is like an insect. He uses his nose as a feeler, to see if anyone is in front of him.

I guess the windshield wipers would be a control on the windshield itself?

But...more importantly, is that light switch on the dash or on a stalk?

They make you stick your hand through the steering wheel to hit controls? That just sounds highly dangerous. Good way to break an arm when you have an accident because you’re fiddling with controls instead of watching the road.

I think they thought it would be good enough to make it the 30 yards across the parking lot and to their driveway. Later you can hear them discussing just driving it on the jack itself.
