@nandreetta: What I meant was ditch caring about the manufacturers custom UIs and make a way to upgrade directly to Android without the BS custom UI layer and apps (which is often the reason for delays of updates for phones).

@djneuro: Agreed, however, the burden of proof here is on the people making claims that cellphones = fiery death.

@Buddha916: That's a really dumb argument.

@strawberrybathtub: Reminds me of the "one button!!" people mad at Apple over having one mouse button and no right-click back in the day.

@Almightywhacko: Could go with "Jelly" and be generic. And British.

@Sidetalker: Agreed. There's nothing wrong with the speed Android is developing. If manufacturers can't keep up, ditch them.

@Arken: We must have had very different science teachers.

@Michael Scrip: $1000 that "the company" is buying. Cost is less of a factor in my opinion.

@Wraithen: If your Eee Pad stays powered for more than 4 hours, consult a physician immediately.

@kasika: Agree with you on most points.

@Jimmy Tango: If you want a new rumor, new rumors say that Honeycomb is 2.4, not 3.0.

@johncon3: Agreed. And the people who want a MS tablet will probably use it for different things than an iPad, so it's not like being different is a bad thing.

@HeroOfTomorrow quit smoking: Don't forget the assumption that all products must be for the average Joe consumer, and the fact that the business market apparently fails to exist.

I've been using a Windows 7 tablet since Win7 came out. It's actually great. Windows 7 isn't nearly as bad on tablets as people who have never tried it seem to think.

@yarsrvenge: Apple fanboys panties wouldn't melt, or Apple wouldn't put out a stylus?

@Thejapmn: What you fail to understand is that Apple will hate a stylus forever. Forever in Apple-land of course meaning "until we do it right". And "doing it right" in Apple-land meaning "until it's released and people have to upgrade to buy it".

I have to assume that this article is a troll, because styluses are extraordinarily useful on tablets. OneNote (or comparable program) + tablet with a stylus makes taking notes incredibly easy and maybe even fun.

@im2fools: Or throw in a PixelQI screen.

@Goof_Troop: Yeah, thanks for promoting that...
