@jdale: When she's answering questions to the press, she's not a journalist, she's a subject. Subjects can have opinions. Even journalists have opinions, they're just not supposed to let those opinions show in their journalism, which she didn't (much).

@KeyserSöze: Of course, no offense to Mr. Fox, but I wonder if one had to do with the other...

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.2: I get mold on Wonder bread all the time. I buy bread, forget about it, come back and find I have a bag full of mold with some bread somewhere in the middle. And it's Wonder. So I don't really know what you're trying to say.

@ForestFire0: Why do you chicken out? I typically leave my PC on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The power drain comes mostly from the display, so with a good monitor sleep plan, you're not wasting a noticeable amount of electricity.

In several episodes it's stated that the "12 regeneration limit" is a societal restriction, not a technical one. And since there are no other Gallifreyans...

@person_x: You do know you can install the updates and then say "don't reboot now" right? Why is that the kind of thing that requires an "informed decision"? Are you billed by the MB or something?

@ForestFire0: 5 days? Hahahahha. That's nothing. I've gone MONTHS on my Win7 box at home. Finally broke the most recent chain thanks to a bizarre requirement for a Zune software update to need a reboot (yes, on Windows 7!)

@SwindleUK: The funny thing about it ("this is what happens when Sony thinks for themselves") is that that's what Apple came up with for the Pippin, too.

@jinchoung: I kinda meant more like a sharp knife.

@jinchoung: It's probably far more accurate, at that range, to, you know, not use a bow to shoot it.

Your complaint is pretty much true of any superhero movie. I think as stupid as it sounds, most superhero movies are trying to stay "rooted in reality" when it comes to villains and only feature human villains, or villains massively abstracted out.

@Fractal the Meek: Well you see, most of the planes in the fleet are still left over from the '40s and '50s.

@2 replies: Yeah, I hear tons of people gush about the tech support, but none of those people gushing have ever used it... My personal experiences have been horrible, though. And I hear so many horror stories.

@cec: Considering that beauty is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY subjective, I can't see how you could possibly argue that "beauty" is being eradicated.

@cec: It's only negative from certain points of view. Think about the scope of the universe. Who the fuck cares if a certain species of fish dies out (besides the fish, of course)?

@cec: You think we're "destroying" the planet? We might be changing it, but saying the word destroy is pretty, well, sensationalist. And it's not unique to us, lots of things change the planet.

@cec: I don't think that the universe is incredibly threatened by us, not really.

@♥AntiSocialSocialite♥: Because, in the cities, there's no reason to because you can't really see shit. "Oh yeah there's the North Star, great".
