It’s a tough question for sure, and as a writer I’m obviously quite biased. Boycotts can be effective for sure, but the first casualties are always the front lines: the writers, the artists etc etc. After a good old burn and slash, the guys at the top still have assets to live with. Fun fact: A friend of mine was a cook on a fishing vessel that went down in the Hecate Straight off the coast of BC. He recounts the feeling of the ship listing to port and then rolling upside down. In complete darkness he said that he just “popped out” like a cork from the hull. He doesn’t know how to this day.
