I live in a state with inspections next to a state that doesn’t. Drivers from that side of the border cause most of the traffic backups because their cars catch fire, stall at intersections, or breakdowns litter the shoulders every half-mile. Or, sometimes their wheels just fall off. (p.s. this youtube channel is one

I think Mass is a great model. Is it perfect? no. Are there some shops that will cut corners and others that will be too stringent? Sure. But on the whole it keeps only road worthy cars on the road without too much harassment for reasonable modifications (going catless isn’t a reasonable mod, sorry).

BuT maH FreDDUmmbssS!!

To me the videos are proof that comprehensive state inspections are a good thing. None of the cars in those videos have Massachusetts plates and there is a reason. If I have a wheel bearing with even a little bit of wobble it’ll get an reject. Check engine light anytime in the last 100 miles? Reject. extensive rust on

now I’m mad I didn’t say “third gen” and really freak some folks out

Glad you included ‘first-gen’ in the headline, I might’ve wondered if a second-gen NSX had been sent back in time.

The Integra had a bunch more power than the civic, and way more aggressive suspension. In 1993 the slowest Integra you could get had 140 hp, the slowest Civic had 71 hp (!). The absolute fastest Civic you could get in ‘93 had 125 hp.

Maybe, just maybe, if your country didn’t allow everyone - including this delusional kid - to wear a gun, shit like this wouldn’t happen. Without that gun on his hip, this probably ends with the kid getting some (well deserved) fines. Yeah, he was a fucking idiot, but that clearly isn’t yet a death penalty offence.

That is the correct answer.

Just have the emergency guys stop showing up. Eventually the sink hole will get filled with cars so they can just pave over it and fix it faster.

YOUR NOT THE BOSS OF ME!

As someone who once leased a 2012 Focus with the PowerShift, that was nearly my answer

Fine, I’ll be that guy:

Tesla Model 3. I like the size, the price, the exterior styling, and could, I guess, live with the interior. I can afford it, and in 2 or 3 years will likely be looking for something electric. But the company owner is a deal breaking flaw for me (and especially my wife).

Some of those who work forces...

To some Ottawa residents, police inaction seemed intentional…

Nothing, they sell lot of them, they found their market. And you can be an enthusiast and own one too, mine is parked next to my Porches.
