A story...It was 2015 and 2016 and Bernie jumps in the race. It was a rough-and-tumble battle, and I understood the dislike for Hillary Clinton amongst Bernie’s folks, if even I thought that it was sometimes too heated and seemed too personal. I got it. I could completely see how many of us understood that Hillary

I feel like you’re unfairly grouping in Warren supporters with the other guy. I’ve not encountered a single one who has said they aren’t voting. I can’t say the same for the other guys. Warren’s entire brand was pragmatic progressivism and highly regulated capitalism, for which she was crucified by the Berners.

A lot of the comments on Janelle Monae’s post were pretty icky too. Like, how dare anyone speak to Janelle Monae like that. How dare they speak to Janelle Monae in the first place?!

I don’t think anyone pretends Venezuela isn’t a shambles. What leftists argue is the extent to which American policy may be exacerbating the grim situation, the extent to which the US should intervene further, and the reasons the US might have for doing so.

It was “low down” for other Democrats to endorse and support Biden?

This is both the result of, and the problem with, get-out-the-vote messaging. It’s not enough to pressure people to vote, we have to pressure people to do a little homework beforehand

The funniest part of all of it? The copious amount of 2016 ride or die Bernie stans now demanding that Warren drop.

As a Warren supporter who has been directly involved in her campaign (attending organizing events, canvassing, phone banking, texting, the whole shebang) it’s kind of nuts to see what works and what doesn’t. We’ve knocked on so many doors, we’ve had so many 1-on-1 conversations with voters, and yet none of it seems to

The argument that Sanders has a better chance of beating the president must be premised on the notion that he brings in a greater turnout from historical non-voters than he loses by alienating moderate voters. Not simply that he does so nationwide, he has to pull off an unprecedented turnout among non-voters in key

That . . . is a surprisingly refreshing review of the attitudes of a low-information voter. That’s not a disparagement.

“I felt more like an insider, not an outsider. Before, I felt like I was just living here. Yesterday, I felt like a part of this country. I felt involved, like I was participating.”

That’s not it. You hear plenty of “I like his/her policies” from Bernie/Liz supporters. It’s not like reporters are asking for in depth explanations on these interviews. It doesn’t take any longer to say you like them for their policies than it does to say you like how down-homey they sound.

Me too. It pains me how sensible her plans are and how clearly she can articulate them AND YET, the public won’t bother to listen.

My hope now is Biden has enough pull to win over embarrassed conservatives and undecideds.

I was so hoping Warren would come back and voted for her yesterday. What a shame. I really hope she gets another shot in the future.

After starting out with so many exciting candidates, it’s really frustrating to end up back here with Biden. I’ll vote for him, but I truly don’t think he will inspire people to get to the polls the way Bernie would have. And Warren’s delegate count actually makes me furious... what are Americans thinking?

I love them, I really do. First, it was that she should quit because she was a lying snake and not a true progressive. And now it’s that she should quit because she’s too progressive and “stealing” from Bernie. lol

We hate women in politics. We just do. Hillary Clinton literally had to be the former First Lady and husband of a popular president and then had to go on to be Senator to even have a shot.

Also, 99% of all political commentary as well.

Thread. The. Whole. Thing.

Yeah. I like Sanders’ ideas, but he’s shown me no reason to believe he could actually accomplish them, even if we take the Senate. Biden won’t even try.
