It was a good scene, but that could be one of the most powerful; I almost wonder if they deliberately toned it down.

Absolutely. I think there's all sorts of other context to look at - and frankly, there are multiple definitions of 'Fridging' anyway. I think at a minimum, the writers here decided to play with fire (but in their defense, their hands may have been somewhat tied by decisions from DC).
Didn't Maseo insist that he had to go back and work with the LoA? He might be hard to reach out to (not to mention, it might backfire).
Huh…
You could be right. It's been too long since I read any of that, and there's probably a good chance I'm mixing her up with her mother, or with old continuity, or whatever.
Yeah, the whole topic can get a little fuzzy. The law is sometimes weird, but does often mirror peoples' view on morality.
Sometimes, even playboy billionaires don't want to sleep with a sexy murderess
Well, in theory he's teaming up with them too (and Malcolm is more skilled than them). But then they don't team up, so it's all confusing.
I think that was part of it too, but it was clearly a prolonged process. In the scene where Agent Sousa confronted him, he (thought he had) managed to do it rapidly, without touching his ring, against someone who knew exactly what he was capable of.
Nope. No other activities. I went back and rewatched that scene multiple times just now, and it affirms what I wrote before, in my mind.
I don't think it's about testosterone. It's about confidence in your abilities. When you're going out there and risking your life against crazy odds, you have to know that you're elite. But when you get embarrassed and are basically at death's door, you lose that edge. The fear and doubt creeps into your mind and…
But it is in the Blue Beetle's suit…?
I liked that she just told him. She's completely confident in her dad's ability to beat the crap out of him, and wants that to happen. And him torturing her would have been terrible and ridiculous.
I'm thinking Rorschach isn't that well known (despite the movie) to non-fans.
Maybe Ras didn't want his security at 100%, since that would mean Ollie would die, and couldn't be offered the job.
Important note… killing =/= murder. You can kill without murdering someone. Was his oath not to kill at all, or just to not murder?
Sure, but there's got to be some sort of end game, right?
I would like to point out that the community at large seems to agree with the reviewer more than with you. Which certainly doesn't prove anything, other than that the reviewer isn't alone on this.
At least per the original canon, he can't make them. There are a limited number around the world, and one way to screw with them was to ruin the pits
He was kept away from the Lazarus pits in the Son of Batman animated movie, although it was either a non-canon story, or they've changed even more than I thought in the New 52
