Actually, I was looking at Surfaces this weekend and you can get a, Core i5, 8G, 256G Surface Pro 7 for $999. That price point makes it a little hard to consider the 12.9 iPad Pro. But generally I agree that the Surfaces have been about $200-300 to high in price, IMHO.

Not really. I always turn off my laptop touchpads. I have no use for them and they tend to get in the way. I prefer a mouse which is what I also use with my iPad.

If all you want to do is read books, you’re right. The black/white Kindle readers are hard to beat. I’ve had many of them over the years.
