Well, it feels like a smack down on the US. We are reducing while others are increasing. Why is it always the US that has to do more?

When you commit suicide you don’t get one either.

Nah, I want my always on cell phone, iPad, wireless headset, electric scooter (because I’m too lazy to walk), electric bike (because pedaling is so inconvenient), my handheld video games, and WiFi Internet connection everywhere I go.

Overall U.S. emissions last year dipped just 2 percent, which is hardly something to celebrate.

Oh man get out the tin-foil hats! The conspiracies are flying around like a house in a Kansas tornado, and your little dog too!

Thanks for this article. I find it (almost) humorous seeing people trying to discount the numbers and make all sorts of excuses and explanations of why these numbers are wrong. The simple fact is alcohol kills a shit ton of people, even if the number are off by 50%.

References? Because a quick Google search seems to indicate a different story. It’s down from the peaks of the 70s ( I sure miss those college days) but gradually trending up over the past 20 years or more.

The obvious question is why make a device when you can just make an App to run on various devices?

Drunk off my ass I would not be waving a knife around while a bunch of trigger happy cops have their guns aimed at me. Of course, I wouldn’t have run in the first place.

And the whole thing could have ended with the “gentleman” dropping the knife, surrendering and complying with police. It goes both ways. Seriously, would you carry on waving a knife around when surrounded by police officers with guns drawn?

Yawn, racist.

Rope on a stick? You mean like a noose on a tree limb? What a racist remark.

the small miseries of friction (in this case, sticking your credit card in a machine)

Sorry but your personal experience does not a trend make. Craigslist isn’t the only place to sell things online. You could even start with your circle of friends and family. There are lots of easy ways to sell things, take it to a pawn shop, for instance.

Well that’s one way to look at it or maybe he doesn’t want to address shelling out welfare to coal miners? What’s wrong with helping people on government assistance to get skills they need to be self sufficient? You say it’s disengagement, I say you’re helping these people live better quality lives. Keeping them on

The article has changed since my original comments. At that time they were recommending a Huawei for $1200 as the one to buy. I didn’t agree with it then nor now. As for a Dell or other options, I would really have to consider what the current crop of machines are out there. I generally like Dell, though you will pay

The irony of Biden’s statement is that people defending it are the same people who will make all sorts of excuses for welfare and homeless people. Hey, why not teach these homeless people to code? If it’s good enough for coal miners it’s good enough for everyone. Why is it realistic for them and not for single moms on

The bottom line is that in most areas regulations and local/state governments are restricting companies from coming in and building out infrastructure. It’s either too expensive or it’s not allowed.
