only a very small percentage of users (in the low single digits) get anywhere near that 1TB cap.

Yes, I saw that you can get broadcast via Hulu. It seems to me the only way to really manage this is to rotate different channels onto your subscription so you’re not paying for all of them at the same time. And to be fair, for the time I have available to watch, Amazon, Hulu, Netflix have more than I can watch.

It’s not entirely as simple as that. Fist you have to see where your shows are playing, then you have to organize that so you can see which combination of services offers the most coverage for your list of shows. And, depending on what you watch Netflix, Hulu and Amazon may not cover you. It also depends on if you’re

I have Slack but haven’t used it. We use Teams and for what we do, it works. We mainly use it for conferencing and web demos. I have been using it more for file sharing and that seems to work OK. Teams isn’t perfect but I would be hard pressed to call it awful. Slack may be better and I’m not advocating one over the

Oh I am well aware of that. Furthermore Comcast has a very unethical practice of not making your bill look anything like your contract. I have fought with them for 3 years over a $35 charge for an extra cable box I don’t have. I renegotiated my business contract and they put, in writing, that I would have the same

I hear you. I don’t watch near as much TV as I used to, don’t really miss it

Thanks. That’s useful.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll call them and see what they can do.

That last pic would be been much better with Where’s Waldo in it. LOL

Yea, I am painfully aware of what I need to do. I just went through this with Business Comcast. It was a shit-show to say the least.

It’s not too different down in the lower 48. I did a quick check and I think I can save some money but it will take some negotiating with Comcast to get down to Internet only. We have Netflix, HBO and Amazon which covers most of what we like. We share a Hulu sub with my daughter so we are pretty well covered.

There’s a lot of truth in that last bit you posted. Today I don’t really have the time to watch the things I like as it is. However, that will change in the next 18 months when I pull the plug on my career and head for retirement.

Looks like I’ll have to call them for Internet only. There’s no option to order it that way online, at least I couldn’t find it.

The part I’m having trouble with is Comcast’s bundling. I’ll probably have to call them just to get Internet. They don’t make it easy. If I could just get Comcast Internet for $80 it would be about $60/cheaper if I just added Amazon, Netflix, Hulu etc separately. I calculated the cost for the services that I would

It’s still the same thing with a new twist. And who says I’m not current on all this stuff? I can get movies that Netflix or Amazon has from other sources too, sonny. Likewise I’m pretty sure I could record that streaming content, you may not realize it but there is technology that can do that. Seems like you’re the

Yup, we had that one too. The razors and the clothing subscriptions. Oh, and remember the record subscriptions? You could get like 10 records for a penny but you had to buy 10 more over the course of a year or something like that.

You ought to see mbrace for Mercedes Benz vehicles. There are some nice features but it’s not exactly cheap. Of course people who buy Benz generally have disposable cash.

I’m not doubting you, per se, but is it really cheaper? I’ve been considering cutting the cord for a while but it seems like the savings aren’t that great. I’d have to get an antenna for live TV, which is not a big issue, but then figuring out the mix of services to get the shows I like is a bit of a brain teaser.

I hate to tell you but subscription services have been around a long, long while now. I remember as a kid, and this is some 45 years ago, getting a package of stamps once a month for something like $5 or maybe even less. Of course there have been magazine and publication subscriptions for even longer than that.

That’s a good deal on the keyboard but I went with the Logitech which is $5 cheaper and offers full coverage for the backside. The only downside is that it’s a little bulky compared to the Apple keyboard. For me it was worth having the full coverage.
