Don’t know about him but I’m a bar owner. No one has complained so far about the G&T. If you want the expensive stuff I’ll gladly put it into the glass, but if asked I’d probably talk you down to a lower price point, but not well gin.

G&T is a popular drink, though so is a Martini, which is a gin drink not to be confused with the more modern vodka Martini. I have to agree that it doesn’t make sense to put expensive Gin, or any alcohol for that matter, into a glass with cheap ass mixer, including tonic. For a drink like that I usually upgrade the

To be fair, unless it was capped and the air removed left over wine isn’t going to taste particularly good. Sure, if you start with a good tasting wine you’re likely to have better luck but it really won’t be as good as the wine really is.

You’re showing retail outlets. That’s far different than restaurant pricing. It doesn’t matter what the wine “cost”. What matters is what it cost to serve the wine to the customer. You realize your menu prices include costs such as rent, utilities, payroll, music licensing and many other non-food or beverage items.

Sorry, that dog won’t hunt. There’s no way anyone would construe this alleged comment with a terror threat.

I don’t see how an off-hand comment about free vodka equates to terrorism in any way.

No, actually it’s the “witness” who says the crowd stood up for the guy. There doesn’t’ seem to be anything from the actual guy who was taken off the plane. Only the person sitting nearby.

First, the article is a bit unclear but as I read it Uzelac was the “witness” and not the passenger that was taken off the plane. It was confusing to me the first time I read it but it appears that Uzelac’s wife is the one who made the “we’ve been here a long time” comment and not the other passenger or their wife

But it was a wrong example and if used could have made the situation worse. The passenger, who may be a frequent flyer, might have responded with, No, but that is not true. You can serve free drinks whenever you want to.

Fed Regs don’t prohibit free drinks. If you have status with the airline you get free drinks. I have occasionally gotten a free drink even when I didn’t have status.

But to your point, the FA could have addressed this in a much friendly manner which would have deescalated the situation.

Way to generalize. Is the person in this article rich or old?

Had a similar problem with Soc Sec after my mom died. I called to inform them that she had passed and they wouldn’t even talk to me until I gave them her SS number. Which I find interesting because they always say “we will never ask for your SSN over the phone”. The woman on the phone kept asking for the SSN and I

Yeah, it’s hard to really tell the attitude of the customer and the FA. Frankly saying “you should give out vodka” sounds more like a light-hearted joke, not being an ass-hat. The person, from this story, that sounds like a dick is the flight attendant.

The flight attendant took the job knowing full well that airport delays are a common part of the job. They took the job knowing they would have to deal with the public and the public is not always friendly and happy. They could have addressed the customer’s comment without resorting to a snippy comeback. Last but not

I love how you all are bashing this person because of their looks. Why don’t you all post your own pics and we can have a go at you?

who, despite all appearances to the contrary, I cannot stress enough—is only 36 years old.

How did they know it was PoC when they knocked on the door?

To be fair, the video doesn’t start until he’s inside the doorway. We don’t really know what happened first. Maybe the cop did ask, calmly, if anyone was hurt or in danger? The woman is agitated, maybe rightfully, but with domestic violence it’s not a good idea just to walk away without a little investigation. Just

Leasing. The world is moving towards a service economy. No one will own many ‘things’ in the future, especially big-ticket items like cars. People will share vehicles or get into monthly subscriptions that give them access to transportation like personal use cars.

I have to agree with him. The interior isn’t really all that awe inspiring. I absolutely HATE that stupid iPad dashboard. It literally looks like an at-home install. My son-in-law has one and lately the tablet has been acting up, rebooting on its own and having a pixelated screen.
