To be fair, unless it was capped and the air removed left over wine isn’t going to taste particularly good. Sure, if you start with a good tasting wine you’re likely to have better luck but it really won’t be as good as the wine really is.

You’re showing retail outlets. That’s far different than restaurant pricing. It doesn’t matter what the wine “cost”. What matters is what it cost to serve the wine to the customer. You realize your menu prices include costs such as rent, utilities, payroll, music licensing and many other non-food or beverage items.

No, actually it’s the “witness” who says the crowd stood up for the guy. There doesn’t’ seem to be anything from the actual guy who was taken off the plane. Only the person sitting nearby.

Fed Regs don’t prohibit free drinks. If you have status with the airline you get free drinks. I have occasionally gotten a free drink even when I didn’t have status.

But to your point, the FA could have addressed this in a much friendly manner which would have deescalated the situation.
