Well, you know research scientist aren’t always 100% right and while they may know tons about the subject they research they may have no clue about other factors, like the economic impacts or political strategies needed to ensure the rest of the world is doing their part as well. Hence the need for an open discussion.

Nobody is supporting anything or suggesting that we support anything known to be false.

That’s not what I said. I said you can have an open dialog. You know, 2 sides to every story. While many people are sold on Climate change the issue is what to do about it.

But you can support an open dialog instead of a one-way conversation.

Why should the company foot the entire bill? If you want good pay shouldn’t you be willing to spend some money to get the skills you need to get a good job? If, as a company, I spend the money to train you will you guarantee that you will stay and work for me for a specified amount of time? And will you work for lower

Yeah, because so many illegals cross the southern border in helicopters.

I’ve got a bone to pick with you about that comment.

I traced a guy named Ray once upon a time. Well, only his hand but still....

With all due respect, can you actually tell who is yelling at whom? That clip is hard to make out.

To be fair the article gives what, 2 examples, one a minor and the other legal to marry but forced. Then the article states a lot of numbers ranging from 3.5 million petitions to all sorts of numbers, in the thousands, of various people who were allowed to come here to marry. There’s no clear indication of the

Arguing whether the laws are lax does not connote any support for or against the laws. Yeah, some people.

I think you can be permissive and not be lax. You can allow someone to do something but within certain guidelines or controls. Yes, you can drive a car but you must pass a test first, for example.

So you favor State suppression of religious freedom? What makes you so smart at 18 that you should be allowed to marry?

You keep bringing up 13 yr olds. If your issue is the minimum age, that’s a different argument than whether the laws are lax or not. Keep in mind that these laws can apply to other older, but underage, people. I don’t recommend anyone get married under the age of 25 but it’s not my place to decide what is right or

Don’t put words in my mouth, I never said any such thing. I wasn’t arguing for or against it, just saying that the law isn’t “lax”. There is a pathway for an underage person to get married but it requires their parent’s AND the court’s agreement. That doesn’t sound lax to me.

This highlights the fact that many U.S. states have lax regulations on the marriage of minors. For instance, in New Hampshire, a child as young as 13 may marry with parental and court approval.

Therein lies the problem. The flying car industry hasn’t slowed down due to Trump. Writers have been overly optimistic about its adoption and now, in my opinion, they are realizing how difficult it will be in light of the challenges with autonomous cars.

Yeah, I really don’t see how a personal, flying vehicle is really going to be cost effective. Airlines struggle daily to schedule and manage flights and make them profitable.

But the article was trying to draw a link between Trump and the fact that some articles are now suggesting flying cars are more than 2 years away. The fact is, anyone with a modicum of logical thinking abilities (which eliminates many blog writers) would know that “flying cars” are and have been more than 2 years away
