i hate that the flashbacks to the film show sam's shitty "vintage" camera having an actual mic, rather than a webcam awkwardly duct-taped to it

are you sure you didn't turn on south park by accident

The problem is that when you don't try to insert some message, the film still has a message, because the things you write about and how you write them inevitably reflect how you see the world.

So, basically: looks good, sounds good, moves good, but nothing going on upstairs. Figured as much.

I have a hard time feeling for people like Wright and Lord/Miller, who are so often written blank checks for tiptoeing outside the mold. Wright is a wiz with a camera and can edit comedy and action like no one's business, but when Pegg leaves him to his own devices he either puts out horribly generic stories (Baby

Shout! Factory is putting all 12 episodes on DVD for like $20 later this summer.

I think Svengoolie bares more resemblance to, uh, every other horror host ever, than MST3K bares to Svengoolie. (The Koz version, at least; Bishop was a much more innovative figure than Koz will ever be. Granted, I think Koz has long since made his peace with that.)

you guys have a scant three years to come up with 76 more of these for when flood turns 30

That's #39.
