I think once you put Jessica Jones in a movie the PG-13 option goes off the table.

But then how will people know that these films are set in the MCU? Because that is a vital part of the story and definitely a thing the average moviegoer cares about.

They're in the same universe but I think the difference in target age-range will likely prevent any strong connections between the two.
