Phantom Menace is shit in interesting and baffling ways. Attack of the Clones is merely boring.

I don't think the movie ever really tries to make Rogen a believable action hero. I think that's part of the point, that he's out of his depth but he thinks he can coast through vigilantism by manipulating others into doing the heavy lifting for him, the same way he's coasted through everything else.
I really hope that, were I a fifty-something, I'd have enough going on in my life that I couldn't really spend time aggressively hating what is at the end of the day a mediocre Tim Burton film.
I feel ya. I'm the same way about the Rogen Green Hornet—I still think there were some good ideas buried in there, but as time goes on I feel more and more like I have to defend the way they were executed, simply because I did when I saw it and got shit for it.
I was like ten, it's not like I didn't have discriminating taste by then—but I dunno. I was big into Looney Tunes at the time, and this seemed to me like a decent attempt to ape that aesthetic. And then I magically lost all interest by the time I got home, presumably because I had actually Looney Tunes DVDs waiting…
I didn't see Dark Shadows in theaters. And I certainly didn't enjoy seeing it when I did (though doing so on what was rapidly becoming a top-ten worst night of my life didn't help.) But its very existence prompted me to watch the original series, which is one of the most amazingly bonkers things I've ever seen and…
Men in Black 2 was my first exposure to the film franchise, tracking it down on TV after seeing and enjoying the Animated Series Nickelodeon used to air before Invader Zim.
I went to see it as a child, having no prior knowledge of The Mask. I enjoyed it in the moment and then forgot most of it during the drive home.
My dad was super-hype for That's My Boy for some reason, so we snuck in after another screening.
It's kind of absurd to presume a lone dissenting voice could've changed the tide. One late night show was not going to somehow render the bullshit every 24-hour news network was pulling null and void, especially when pretty much every satirist of his caliber saw no way for Trump to win.
You'll notice, though, that those shows often use cheesy sound stages for outdoor scenes, especially ones set at night, which saves them a lot of trouble. Films have to, you know, look good, so that's not really an option.
It's nice to see a piece of adult animation that's not, like, over-the-top grotesque or wall-to-wall sex jokes. I'm definitely gonna be seeing this in theaters.
Teenagers have strict shooting schedules thanks to child labor laws; 30-year-olds don't know how modern teenagers talk. That simple.

That's what they do. That's why the old ones are in museums.

Not getting excited until they tell us who's playing Nancy Whitehead
Have the male characters been going through drastic costume changes for the past seven years and I just never noticed?
