He’s like a bootleg Shkreli.

Apparently the part that says “regularly” is the loophole that got her off. Since she’s on tour, and not a regular performer there, the law didn’t apply. While it’s hard to imagine the legislature specifically crafting an exception for traveling exotic dancers, as opposed to permanent employees, I’m glad it worked out

It goes both ways.

Completely unsurprising. The DNC completely underestimated Ocasio-Cortez, and it cost them one of their prized cronies. I’m sure there are plenty within the establishment who won’t go down without a fight. They can mobilize the unions and make it an ugly race between two Dems in November if they choose to.

Columbus proper is like most other midwestern cities— an oasis of blue in a sea of red. But even the suburban areas are mostly red.

He would go back to being a Democrat the second the election is certified. He’d presumably maintain his committee seniority, too. And while it’s not likely to happen, it’s far from impossible. He has a lot of support in unions and other democratic strongholds in NY (not to mention the DNC), that didn’t seem to take

And here is what they care about above all else: Tax cuts.

If she can prove she was selectively targeted, great. I’m not on law enforcement’s side here. I just think she was dumb to not have seen this coming.

Ah, the victim blaming accusation.  I knew someone would try to make that connection.  She was arrested for breaking a law that would be commonly known in her industry. She wasn’t fucking raped.  Next.

I would advise people who have high profile political enemies to mind their Ps and Qs, and not break silly laws that they absolutely know, as part of their jobs, can be used against them.

Do you think “spottily enforced and in some cases not at all” is the same as not enforced, you silly cunt?

States and localities with those laws absolutely enforce them.  Mostly they rely on the clubs to police their own patrons, because the clubs themselves can usually incur sanctions for violations.  In that industry, performers generally adhere to the laws, because they know they could absolutely be arrested.

I have no doubt it’s a politically motivated setup, but Stormy still has to be smarter than that. Ohio is not the only state or municipality with laws against touching in strip clubs. Any touring performer will always make sure they know what the rules are at any given stop. It’s part of the business, and everyone

Came here for this.  So frickin’ good.

If Diana is on this beat now, Shady is fucked.

I didn’t realize they went back that far.  I know very little about her, but she’s attractive enough that Trump would definitely smash if he could.  It sounds like she’s not above it, either.

Once in the program, they are subjected to home searches and drug tests—things they must comply with or risk being referred to the district attorney for prosecution.

Pence is awful and he will mostly walk away from the Russia investigation unscathed

I assume Paula White is only around the administration because Trump thinks he might have a chance to fuck her.
