Yeah, misspoke. Meant to say, “full-size” and “from the big 3".... but I was a still wromg bc both RAM and Ford have now move assembly back to Michigan.
Fort Wayne, Indiana. Probably the only truck actually assembled (at least) on United States soil.
Just hiked Como Lake Road to Blanca Peak Road in Colorado... hardest 4wd route in Colorado. Can confirm that - YES - people take vehicles far more expensive than $60K up roads worse than anything you can imagine. There were at least a dozen brand new, highly modified rigs parked around the lake at the top, even…
Put this in the Santa Cruz along with H-Trac and the 2.5T and I am sold!

WILL MORE AMERICAN’S LEARN TO DRIVE A G** D*** STICK SHIFT ALREADY, PLEASE?!
Was on a Ford lot looking at cars with the Fiance last week, can confirm sticker prices for almost every Ranger was a couple thousand less than a comparable F150, and they arent THAT different in size. Just one is WAY more capable than the other... Guess which one.
One is an actual off road capable (damn near rock-crawler) the other is an, admittedly, nice priced CUV with really neat features. We needed more off road machines - Bronco will sell like crazy. We didn’t need more CUVs - Sport will sell pretty well.
I feel Ford even making the new Escape is a waste if the road handling of this is as good as it sounds. But, I also feel the full-size will outsell the sport by a mile... mall crawling compensation (women too!) machines and what-not.
You do have a point, a simultaneous launch of two differently capable vehicles could give a better spread on prices/incentives... but dang, the full-size Bronco seems vastly more capable off-road. Maybe the Sport will get people out of f*cking weak-sauce CUVs. (Looking at you EDGE/Escape)
I am not disappoint, but, isn't it barely cheaper than the actual Bronco? Just like the Ranger is barely cheaper than an F150?

Ah, The World Engine (ie Global Engine Alliance)... Also similarly found in:
I noticed it was pretty low geared, but forget about passing!
$500 for 8 hours - no kidding. I checked in Lake City and was amazed at the racket they have going on.
Thank you for the pro-tip! I looked up the prices and it is a bit expensive to select the car you want, but enrolling in the emerald club is a bargain for a rental 4x4.
Oh man... if Enterprise had those to rent...
I needed something that would fit the family and do some light wheeling in Lake City, CO. I tried like hell to get a true SUV but no luck, I was stuck with a Ford Edge or nothing. It could probably have made the Alpine Loop without issue, but trying to take it up Nellie…
