No Prodrive. No 25B.
No Prodrive. No 25B.
I meant Urban Motors... Close enough.
Literally blocks away from my work. I had to double-take: “Wads?!”
I’m picturing a piece of black, Boeing-branded electrical tape placed very slyly over a mysterious blank place on the instrument panel. Peel it back and in blinking orange text it reads - “Check MCAS”
THIS is what Jalopnik exists for!
*picks jaw off up off the floor*
That is really cool they hooked them up with test cars! Impressive knowledge.
I was correcting myself. Yeah, the McRae series was in 1995. The 22B didn’t come along for a couple years. I didn’t realize how many special editions were made:
I think that makes me want the McRae Series even more...
I was just thinking I should have said something like “Kinda both...” as the cars the Subaru Team and Prodrive were making and how they handed production seemed to change monthly through the 90s - Because: Race-car. There are a few very different cars with the 22B name stuck to them. Example: Those 200 Colin McRae…
Boggles my mind why Subaru doesn’t use Prodrive on this but they did on the RA...
That Jalop story a while back about the guy taking a true 22B Prodrive (Chassis # 31 - actually ran in NZ) and converted it to road-going added a new hero to my list:
This has been how you turn on USB debugging on any Android device for AGES...
Prodrive would take a very limited number of already produced 22Bs and put their own spin on them. There were also true dyed-in-the-wool WRC 22Bs that were built by Prodrive just for WRC.
(If I recollect correctly...)
It is cool and all... but it is no 22B Prodrive.
It is no 22B Prodrive...
Ya’ll need to try Upslope Brown Ale, Telluride Face Down Brown, or Avery Ellie’s Brown if you like Maduro. (Colorado ftw)
Hah, epic Dad levels of pun going on here.
