The newer bB sold in Japan has a much nicer design and interior quality.
They knew it was a death trap that wouldn’t comply to future U.S. regulations so they felt compelled to create an “Americanized” version. It happens with too many vehicles here.
What could be more gentle than an LS? Probably the next generation LS due next year. I’ve heard things from Lexus reps speaking of it as an actual ‘spaceship.’

I don’t mind it for headliners at all. I’ve never had a problem with mine. Never cleaned it because it has stayed new. The problem on our old MB cars is that the headliner does detach in some places like under the sunroof early on from the adhesive. I don’t want it anywhere else but in a headliner, though.
