I hate that too. But all I needed was the audio output and the call button. I also got a free Bluetooth remote from where I was working. That worked much better.

I use samsung HS3000. Same price, does everything this has but has even more features. It has controls for audio playback, volume and calls (has a microphone), can even use siri - although that is mostly useless. Works with my Nexus too. I own multiple ones for home stereos, cars etc.

Not really. Especially in the US, a smartphone is an expensive choice. So using that is a discrimination against people who can't afford it or doesn't want one (it is not a necessity). Also, a lot of people buy the phone because of the 'price' rather than their needs.

No more windshield mounts - they all suck. Get a FIXWAY or XWAY from Tetrax. They sell them through amazon for $35. I have attached everything from S3's to iPads to my Fixway and it has stayed on till now.

Those white boxes are radar devices. They warn the nearby patrol units if somebody is speeding so they can hide ahead to catch them. It tells that 'a' vehicle passed at this speed. It doesn't tell which vehicle it was though.
