getting one for my friends birthday right now
@DrZaius: not your personal army.
I find it hilarious that anyone with a standard ceiling would wreck themselves doing this
@kellham002: yah I agree, but there are times I have done some browsing.
Thought that was batman in the 2nd screen-shot till I looked a bit closer...
@ckcallen: This is purely a guess, but I have a feeling that induction will likely catch on.
@triplecheeseburger: Not sure how to explain this further.
@Dresan: Give me a lever and I can move this tree!
@Squalor: last day at the office. well done mister air taffic controller!
@triplecheeseburger: 3.5 mm jack is a problem to a degree, but the issue comes with making a new standard audio jack.
@ckcallen: cost. if I were to say "hey ckcallen, Im making you a car out of a new titanium alloy, its as lightweight as before, only 3 times the price", you would need some serious backing.
@triplecheeseburger: I dunno man, theyve sort of done this for years. the only way this connector doesnt become more garbage is if more people pick it up as a standard. Honestly though, it will become another "go buy our adapter to use our stuffs with someone elses accesories"
@ckcallen: Honestly, I've been considering looking elsewhere for an mp3 player because I'm worried this is the direction theyll take.
@gemcosta: sssshhhhhh, apples been lying for years! they've just assumed your stupid and too embroiled in loving their products to notice!
@geolemon: Honestly, its apple making everything that little bit more controlled.
@Schalliol: definitly not great, but I'd say it does the trick. if your just running a basic pair of headphones then I dont think theres a huge amount of audio loss or anthing.
wouldnt this mean more proprietary apple crap?
@Alexander Ward: competition yes. but its not really of the same genre in my book. more on par with a umpc/laptop.
@Carey.Laius: yep, however people continue to trade them in at this sort of a price and gives places like gamestop crazy profit margins.
