If the abuse is widespread, seems like the company would come under some pressure as well.

Uh, I thought this was made by a youtube comedian.
Tesla. The beta test you pay for.
They’re just following the manufacturer's instructions. The blame is on Tesla, much more than on the idiots using the service as advertised.
Musk is just your typical screw the taxpayers, I'm gonna get my billions by selling crap to idiots kind of guy.
Honestly, I think it’s quite irresponsible of Tesla to let consumers use this tech before it’s fully developed. They’ve seen the idiocy that humans demonstrate when presented with something called “autopilot” - you’d think they would have learned their lesson.
Define “allowed”.
Accusing the authors of corruption is pretty foul. Yet somehow you’re in the black and I’m in the grays.
Imagine, a badly-conceived feature, that nobody needed and nobody asked for, on a car with only limited sight-and-sensor capability... is running into problems (and other inanimate objects) almost immediately.
I make robots at a University. There is nothing inpressive about this.... BS students have done equivalent capstones. Releasing alpha products like Steam games on cars is insanity.
I actually think this might cause far worse damage to Tesla’s reputation, since people are going to be far more cavalier with this than with Autopilot. The feature hasn’t been out for a week and look at the number of crashes. And wait until someone’s kid is run over because the ‘summoner’ couldn’t see them.
Fuck Tesla, and Fuck the morons that use this shit in a parking lot.
My understanding is that you can’t be ticketed for running a stop sign on private property, but that they can absolutely be used in fault-finding for insurance purposes.
Just wait until the first toddler gets run down. You know it's going to happen.
Car Insurance Companies HATE This One Trick
It continues to astound me that incredibly immature technologies that simply don’t work are allowed to use us all as guinea pigs.
Eventually someone gonna get run over and Tesla are going to say that the feature was not meant to have the driver outside of the car.
And then there’s the Ticket-Avoidance Mode.
