That’s kind of the point. Once you get up there, many of the buyers in that arena see higher price as a feature, not a detriment. They aren’t budget minded, they are status minded. For a long while, Tesla has been the creme de la creme of electric automobiles. As such, the super rich who wanted to appear frugal in

That will only happen with a breakthrough in battery technology.

That was fantastic to read. I’ve driven a few Model S’s and a 3 and I was pretty impressed, however the interiors were a letdown, especially considering the price point.

It’s the intangible things that make the Porsche better...cars are often a very emotional purchase and Porsche ticks a lot of those boxes.

All things aside, the main thing that bums me out about electric cars is how similar they all are, you touched upon that in the article a few times as well. I set a Nurburgring record for fastest siding a hot wheels car that I glued extra seats to around a hand drawn sketch of the track while making engine sounds with my mouth.

Welp, considering the subsidies this guy gets from the US government (and assuming you’re a US citizen) your money *is* tied up in this company.

Can’t imagine having my money tied up in a company being led by this guy. His Twitter game is only matched by Trump.
