Huge interior upgrade and dealing with Lexus dealers for only $12k more at this price point is a no-brainer. The Lexus outsells the Toyota.

Because even when people had the chance to buy a 'base' Landcruiser with no nav/dvd, almost everybody bought a fully loaded Landcruiser. So now they included it as standard and just sell one fully loaded Landcruiser.

You get a lot for $10k. Super soft leather, better stereo, better wood trim...basically a huge upgrade in the interior. Plus the Lexus badge if you feel you need it when you're dropping that much money.

You can't hide emotions sometimes. I managed to control it when an SRT challenger owner approached me filling up my new to me Z06 and said "hey nice car. Yeah it is pretty lazy and the Audi looks nice. But I think the smaller fuel tank in the new generation is more unforgivable. I only got 250 miles of range in my w221 S class.
