One thing that irked me about Diablo III was zones with persistent boundaries. After a couple playthroughs you always knew the general layout, even if what filled the zones was randomized. Does Diablo IV randomize the edges and boundaries of the areas?

Super ultra off-topic, but what’s with the Deadspin burner account that apparently got deleted?

“that Diablo III was too cartoony”

I feel like Diablo 3s art style is also directly related to blizzard wanting their games at the time to be able to run on any rig even low low spec systems. Seems they may be getting away from that. Which I am totally fine with as a lot of games push systems to their limits now.

I am somebody who doesn’t like teleporting all over (a la 3), so being able to wander appeals to me. The 3 current classes don’t appeal to me, so I hope they have a couple more cooking up behind the scenes.

Deadspin Forever

Even if all the writers land on their feet, it won’t be the same. The crossposting between these sites was something special.

Well said, but they haven’t told Kotaku to “stick to games” yet, so I am still hopefully they will learn from their mistakes. All of these sites are about so much more than the subject matter on the masthead. That is what makes them great. Fuck Spanfeller and the rest of the herbs...

I seriously hope I am wrong. These sites have been a home for me online.

I hope this isn’t true just so we can see one more Witcher 3 screen grab up there...

Why do you expect that? Just because of what’s happened at Deadspin this week?

I don’t think anyone has been fired from Kotaku. The “Jason was fired” rumor two days ago was debunked by several Kotaku editors very quickly, and his twitter profile still says “News editor at Kotaku”.

Where do you see that Jason is gone?

I really liked the F2P Tekken that was on PS3. I think it was a version of Tekken Tag 2 that they made into 1v1 since it had the same character introductions as TT2.

Fuck, it’s weird and surreal to muscle-memory click my Deadspin bookmark like I’ve done every morning and night for the last decade-plus and remember it’s dead and buried. Best of wishes to the whole crew.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 without a doubt.

I got a 3-month trial for Game Pass when I bought my Processor a few months back (otherwise PS fanboy here, come at me). Since The Outer Worlds is available that way I decided to activate my trial and I’m probably going to play that this weekend.

I’ll definitely be playing The Outer Worlds, I started over after making Vicar Max very hostile to me.

I’ll be playing the beta for One Punch Man: A hero nobody, making some leeway on The Outer Worlds and restarting The Witcher III in preperation for the new Netflix series.

...Skyward Sword will continue. I’m supposed to head back to Faron Woods to get the last piece of the Song of the Hero (I’m guessing I’m very near endgame?), but I want to get that shield from Lanayru...
