Sony definitely pivoted after the series X|S reveals. Inter-gen stuff may have been a component, but not nearly what Microsoft has been doing and what Sony has tried to pivot to
It won’t be on PS4. The only reason Sony made its mad and confusing scramble on backwards compatibility was because they saw that Microsoft made it a huge focus of their console, and that people liked that.

OT: It’s been a pretty restless weekend for me. My partner had surgery on Friday, so there has been a lot of worrying and taking care of her going on.
I played so much WoW back in vanilla and BC, but in the literal years of game time accrued, I never listened to the soundtrack. Once we were on voice chat, it was far too much of a distraction. The original in game volume was loud as hell and drowned out so much other stuff.
