Yet another work week done. I’m really glad to be out of here for the weekend. I wrapped up Control last weekend. The atmosphere was so great, and going to the <location redacted> made practically every hair on my body stand on end. I’m not normally one for that sort of feeling, but I really dug it here. The Ashtray

Because we would be having the same conversation about Mega Man instead of Fire Emblem at that point

I think the reason why its so hard to make a comedy comes down to two basic structural reasons. The first is that you need to give time for a joke to breathe. Listen to how some of the most successful comedians craft jokes, they worry about vocabulary, cadence, physical posture, even how they breathe during the joke.

Any small tweaks or polish will be handled by the inevitable day 1 patches and updates. Delaying a launch, especially within the 3 month window, means that something major is broke or some underlying system (like say multiplayer) straight up doesn’t work. It’s not like they decided that a story beat doesnt work and

A delay of a month, to me in this case, doesn't so much say "extra polish". Something broke somewhere, and that caused a disruption in the supply chain that they couldn't make up and so the window slid. And for something to break in this situation, it will have to have majorly broke. Something like Sonic Boom: Rise of

I don’t think Kyoslilmonster is wrong, in their quote at the end, but their arguments are not made in good faith (like many right wingers who find themselves removed from events in the past 10 years). Im also slightly suprised at the response from GDC. Over the past couple of years when there is a controversy, their

Press F to Gita and Josh.

You both will be missed!

Can someone explain a Legend of Zelda no Up+A run to me? Is it literally just not pressing either up or A?

With the New Year, I hope I can get back into some of my better, older habits. Like many, the holidays become a time where it is very easy to slip into bad habits. Pokemon and Control are on the docket for games this weekend. I just cleared the ice gym in Pokemon, as I plod along. In Control, I just had the (maybe

The trailer for MGSV felt like it was so much more than just a trailer. It totally was inline with what Kojima does, but I felt like there was a representation of what the game actually was about, in a much longer format than what you usually get. If an average game trailer is as to a movie trailer, a Kojima trailer

Traveling this weekend, so not much for games. Maybe I'll get some pokemon shield going. Been loving control so far though

At least they gave you a phenomenal movie to watch.

The only reason Kalanick left the board was because it was clear he was never going to be CEO again.

Alot of smart devices fall into the category of very disposable income. Some stuff is nice. Being able to tell alexa to turn on the tv is fun.

If anything, the smart home is a newborn going through it's terrible twos rather than being a teenager.

I’ve actually tried this on a whim once. I only made it through the first part of the first level though. It is not as hard to wrap your head around two different relatively stable viewpoints one at a time as you would think it would be, but that is really only the beginning. Juggling your ammo, memorizing enemy and

Still trying to move along with things after last weekend. I haven’t gotten a chance to play many games for long this week, just a bit of Pokemon. I definitely am finding it frustrating that there aren’t a lot of people looking for Max Raids anymore, or that they set up link codes. I’d like to get a Gigantimax

Was Ray Park the Zabrak Cara was wrestling with?

I'll admit, I kind of like them except for that writing on the inside. I get kind of a sonic the hedgehog vibe. The character, not the character's shoes.
