First: Thank you Pywackett-Barchetta for your donation to my sons car club! If you would like to donate some cars like Pywackett, let me know and the club will pay for shipping, maybe even pay for a couple of cars too for your trouble .See this link for more info:
My son wants to have a weathered/rust look to some of his tractors for a toy show in Feb. The hobby shops were a little overwhelming with their different types of paint that do that. How do you guys do it? Looking for a more affordable way that is 9 year old friendly. (I’m supposed to keep my mitts off of this…
Most of you know my 9-year-old son is president of an after-school diecast car club. Besides trading and discussing cars, they also bring in new unopened 1/64 cars to donate to our local children’s hospital. They will start in a few weeks...So...If you have unwanted, carded, 1/64 cars you would like to donate the car…
We knows it’s a Ferrari 288 GTO, but have never seen those wheels before
It seems I have paid money for items that we haven’t received and we might have requested items without paying the buyer. It now seems that my notifications and comments on Kinja only go back to a certain date, thus we cannot see our prior dealings. Especially the ones where I let my son make some deals (parenting…
Went from 60 hp to 425. “J” did great with everything. He got the stickers on late Thursday. Next is is for “J” to rehab a 1/16th True-scale trailer that he is planning on making it MOPAR-worthy as well. He may need some help with that one. Which means I will need LALDs help. (Drilling through rivets)
You guys want content and pics so here you go: My son filled in the radiator with Taimya putty, the sanding, the priming, and the painting. He did about 95% of the work. He is still waiting for some Dodge/Mopar decals. So not done yet. His two handed spray painting technique is a little unorthodox but no major runs.…
We Don’t THINK the military used this 1957 Dodge COE, but Still cool.
We can’t take credit for it. Picked up at a flea market: Someone drilled, painted, detailed the headlights/tailights , applied flame stickers, then glued back together. Lot of work for a non-mopar says the j-man. Wait...I think we may have a mopar custom on the shelve..
Some pics taken by my son of his Dodge shelves. . Besides the Steiger and Massey Ferguson tractor, can anyone find the “one diecast and that doesn’t belong”? Have a happy and safe 4th everyone!
What if you can’t afford that brand new Chevy Beretta? You want to have a ride like Zach Morris but you have the budget of Screech Powers? Just get your old Dodge Challenger and give it an updated Jackson Pollack inspired paint job.
My son is planning on building a 1/64 farm layout for a regional toy tractor show. His theme is going to be a tractor auction and he’s going to need a lot of 1/64 figurines. Anybody know where we can buy them in bulk? Thanks for everything!
My submission is my son’s first diecast. A Ford FW-60 tractor. Powered by imagination, it has a lot of miles and hours on it. Congratulations!
Interrupting all of the BMW’s....Found last night at an auction, four bucks. It seems the original batteries were left in the Porsche. We’ll see if we can get the the battery terminals cleaned. The Camaro works great! Set seems intact but remember as a child it being strange anyway.
Or your waiting for me to send you money so you can mail the cars. Let me know, please. That is all.
Over 200, thank you everyone who donated. Our local paper wrote about the club and put a drop off box in their office. So we’ll get a official count in a few weeks.
Our guest speaker was the owner of Brick House Builds Bikes and his just finished Yamaha. Which the members immediately started touching. Good Q and A session about fabrication and motorcycles. Which I know nothing about.
President: I don’t like the wheels, they make the tires look too small. I wonder if it has a GT-40 engine? If I owned this car in real life I would drive it to a NASCAR event.
They need to be carded. I will pay for shipping. Many have already given, thank you! We will deliver to our “local” children’s Hospital after Labor Day. Thank you! Two members bravely contacted our local paper to see if they would be willing to sponsor a drop off box...We’ll see what happens! This a third grade toy…
